Coney Island is so cool and it’s just one of the amazing neighborhoods in New York City! Oh yeah! This photo was take during a recent Street Photography Workshop there. – A day at Coney Island, 7 May 2017.
Tattoo anyone? Gotta love Coney Island. It is fabulous for street photography! This photo was taken at the Coney Island Street Photography Workshop on 7 May 2017. I don’t have another workshop scheduled for Coney Island yet. I’m thinking about possibly doing one in June or July. In the meantime, I do photo tours in Coney Island and you can see information on my website for them. The next street photography workshop will be in East Harlem on 21 May.
Street Photography is never planned or expected. It’s really about having your eyes open to the possibilities around you. Once you feel somewhat comfortable using your camera you can use more of your attention to “see” what’s going on around you and capture those moments. In my street photography workshops we work on both depending on the particular needs of the attendees. The number one thing that differentiates a good photo for me is composition. So we always work on that as well. My next Street Photography Workshop will be in El Barrio/East Harlem on 21 May and there a few spaces still available. – boys having fun, Coney Island Street Photography Workshop, 7 May 2017.
Here’s a photo from yesterday’s Coney Island Workshop. Such a fabulous part of New York City! Tomorrow I’m giving a photo tour in Lower Manhattan. Sunday is a workshop in Bushwick, Brooklyn with a few spaces still available. I’ve recently been shooting in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. Four out of five Boroughs. I guess I should try to make it to Staten Island soon. – 7 May 2017.
You can still register for the Coney Island Street Photography Workshop Sunday 7 May! Only a few spaces still available. Whether you have a fear of shooting street photography or you are looking for new tips and tricks and maybe you just want to explore the incredible Coney Island with a camera this workshop is for you! I’ve been shooting Coney Island for years now and we always have a great time. You can register here through the link and you can also see reviews from people who have taken workshops with me.
So I confess, I still haven’t finished weeding out my photos from the 2016 Coney Island Mermaid Parade! And we’re only 2 months away from the 2017 parade! I’m working on it now! So many photos, so little time! I have an upcoming Street Photography Workshop in Coney Island on Sunday 7 May! Coney Island is always fabulous fun to photograph even without the Mermaid Parade! Spaces are filling up already so don’t wait.
One of my absolute favorite places in New York City is Coney Island! (Forget that it isn’t really an island anymore.) A beach at the sea! A public beach accessible by subway train! And yes it’s fabulous to be there during beach weather days. It’s also fabulous all year around. There’s the boardwalk, the amusement park and the surrounding neighborhood as well! Great for street photography and landscapes! Coney Island is one of the many possible tours that I offer.
The next Sunday Street Photography Workshop is in Coney Island on 13 November!!! New York City by the sea! Oh, and the Polar Bears will be swimming! No matter what your level of experience with photography or street photography, there’s something for everyone. And we always have a great time! For more information or to register use the link above. See you there!
I have scheduled the last 4 Sunday Street Photography Workshops for the year! Workshops are a fabulous opportunity to explore neighborhoods in New York City, experiment with different photo techniques, shoot street photography and meet other photographers.
Sunday 13 November Coney Island. Sunday 20 November Harlem. Sunday 4 December Little Odessa and Sunday 18 December Chinatown. Workshops are limited to 6 people so book early. For more information or to register use the link.
The next Sunday Street Photography Workshop will be in Coney Island, Brooklyn on 13th of November and we will catch the polar bears, as they call themselves, swimming in the ocean. It is fabulous fun and we will possibly explore other parts of Coney Island as well depending on how much fun we are having at the water.
I suggest that you dress well for the occasion and you might want to wear waterproof boots! The workshop is limited to 6 people and we always have a lot of fun shooting while exploring different techniques.
